Begüm Erciyas (b. 1982, Ankara, Turkey) lives and works between Berlin and Brussels. While studying molecular biology and genetics in Ankara, Erciyas got involved in various dance projects in Turkey and became part of [laboratuar], a performing arts research and project group. Later, she studied at the Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance in Austria. Her works are mainly transdisciplinary and have been presented in contemporary art venues and international performing arts festivals across Europe, Asia and North America. From 2021 to 2026, she is an artist-in-residence at De Singel in Antwerp.
