Open Call: Tanz Weit Draußen / On.Site
Deadline for applications: 9 May 2025
Something Great, in collaboration with Tanz Weit Draußen—a network of organisations promoting contemporary dance in rural areas of Germany—invites artists to submit proposals for a paid residency at the SG Arts Centre from 28 June to 14 July 2025 as part of the Tanz Weit Draußen / Vor.Ort (On Site) program.
Proposals should include a format for engagement or exchange with the local community—either a public showing at the end of the residency or a workshop open to residents of Ruhner Berge. The final event, regardless of format, will take place in the village of Marnitz as part of Festwoche 750 Jahre Marnitz—a festival organized by the Municipality of Ruhner Berge to celebrate the 750th anniversary of Marnitz, the main village of the municipality.
This call is open exclusively to artists based in Germany, with priority given to those residing or actively working in the federal states of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Schleswig-Holstein, Brandenburg, or Baden-Württemberg.
