3600
In 3600, Radouan Mriziga approaches dance from an architectural perspective. He uses the body as a central instrument for the performance in order to create a linear, transparently structured choreography. This construction is designed to distil the movement and narratives from the act of constructing visual objects. In other words, the body is used as a measurement tool to achieve 3600 seconds of unity between the body, spirit and intellect. In this space, the performers become craftsmen and architects, inspired by modern architecture and Islamic art. The artefacts created are a perfect combination of aesthetics and function, with art that is mathematically precise, aesthetically pleasing, and symbolic. In 3600, what is performed is constructed and what is constructed is the performance.
