In Begüm Erciyas' "Forest Silent Gathering", a group of spectators assemble in the forest at sundown and tune in to a soundtrack through earphones. Erciyas produces an audio-social structure that permits people to be isolated together. The alterations in distance welcome new closeness to be looked for. Those who are not present become the main characters. As the collective territory shapes and modifies, "Forest Silent Gathering" gives a chance to ponder the relationships between individuals, forest, and pasts. What keeps us together? What brings us together?
