“Enfreakment” by Diana Niepce is a performance conference that explores the history of non-normative bodies in the performing arts, both nationally and internationally. Through movement, the piece examines the genealogy of dance, exposing the violence and exclusionary policies that have shaped its evolution. It challenges historical narratives and calls for a reimagining of the body beyond imposed limitations.
By defying norms, in Diana Niepce’s “Enfreakment”the Portuguese choreographer created a performance that advocates for visibility, transformation, and the expansion of dance’s boundaries.
