NO MERCY
Premiered in August 2022 at Rawabet Theatre in Cairo, NO MERCY is the latest stage work by nasa4nasa, a dance collective from Cairo founded in 2016 by Noura Seif Hassanein and Salma Abdel Salam. In NO MERCY nasa4nasa takes the audience on a journey through an intricate landscape of emotions and other modes of feeling in both daily virtual and physical realms.
NO MERCY is a 40-minute DJ set in which two female performers delve deep into the realms of sensuality and desire, exploring their complex interplay with the concept of violence. In NO MERCY nasa4nasa navigate the dynamics of the gaze, drawing inspiration from their repertoire of body image, pop culture references, and fiery expressions of rage. NO MERCY will both lure and disarm you, inviting you to immerse yourself in the NO MERCY drama along the way.
