Begüm Erciyas (b. 1982, Ankara) lives and works between Berlin and Brussels. While studying molecular biology and genetics in Ankara, she became involved in dance and joined [laboratuar], a research and project group in the performing arts. She later studied at the Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance in Austria. Her work is transdisciplinary and is shown in contemporary art spaces and performing arts festivals in Europe, Asia, and North America. From 2021 to 2026, she is an artist-in-residence at De Singel in Antwerp.
