General Terms & Conditions
Scope
These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all services provided by Something Great - Performing Arts gUG (hereafter "Something Great"), as well donations received by Something Great from national and international donors.
Services
We offer various services related to arts and culture. These include but ar not limited to:
- Collaborations with artists and cultural organisations
- Event organization, and management of cultural projects
- Rental of spaces for artist residencies and cultural events.
Bookings and Participation
Booking for events or participation in programs is subject to availability and confirmation by Something Great. Specific terms for participation may apply depending on the event or program.
Fees & Payments
Fees and commissions for services provided by Something Great, if applicable, will be clearly communicated beforehand. Payment terms and deadlines, when determined, will be specified for each service or event.
Fees related to ticket sales for events organized by Something Great will be clearly communicated before the event or at the event entrance. Payment shall be made in cash or through other forms of payment clearly communicated beforehand.
Cancellation
Cancellation policies may vary depending on the specific service or event.
Detailed cancellation terms will be provided at the time of agreement or booking.
Limited Liabiltiy
Something Great's is officially registered in Germany as a gemeinnützige Unternehmergesellschaft (haftungsbeschränkt). This translates to "non-profit entrepreneurial company (limited liability)" in English. Our liability is limited and we are not liable for force majeure events.
Intellectual Property Rights
All intellectual property rights related to Something Great's services, website and content of projects promoted by Something Great remain with our organisation or the respective artists.
Donations
Purpose of Donations
Donations to Something Great support its nonprofit objectives, including its cultural programs, artistic projects, and infrastructure development. This encompasses festivals, community projects, artist residencies, artist commissions and the facilities of its centre in Ruhner Berge. We provide donations usage information to all our donors upon request, ensuring full transparency and accountability.
Methods of Donation
Donations to Something Great are done via bank transfer, PayPal, or other payment methods. For bank transfers, please use the account details provided above in our imprint section.
Non-Refundable Donations
All the donations are voluntary and non-refundable, as they support Something Great’s non-profit mission. Donors do not receive goods or services in exchange unless explicitly stated in donor recognition benefits or written agreements done between Something Great and its donors.
Legal Compliance
Donations must comply with applicable anti-money laundering (AML) and financial regulations. Large donations may require additional verification as per legal requirements.
Donation Receipts & Tax Benefits
Donations from individuals or companies fiscally resident in Germany are tax-deductible. Donors may request a donation receipt (Spendenbescheinigung) by contacting admin@somethinggreat.de with proof of donation.
International donors should verify tax deductibility with their local tax authorities.
