At Something Great - Internationales Zentrum für Zeitgenössische darstellende Kunst, we welcome artists and creatives from diverse backgrounds and career stages to develop their projects within the frame of our residency program. Rooted in the principles of freedom, our residency offers a space where artists can create, research, and develop projects without production demands or compulsory participation in events. This liberating approach allows for authentic and uninhibited engagement with their practice. In addition to workspaces, due to renovations forthcoming and undergoing, at the moment we are only able to provide limited free housing for residents at our guest artists house, just a 5-minute walk from our workspaces at Schloss Mentin. For larger groups, accommodation can be arranged at nearby hotels.
CURRENT WORKSPACES
Rehearsal Studio: Dance, Theater, Performance
Multipurpose Space: Theory, Visual Arts, Set Design

- Ceiling Height: 4-7 meters
- Equipment: The studio features a wooden floor spanning 170 m², which can be customized with either a black or white dance carpet. Upon request, basic sound and video equipment can be provided.

FUTURE WORKSPACES
In addition to its current workspaces at Schloss Mentin, another former ancillary building of Schloss Mentin is in the planning for renovation. This former stables building is slated to become the primary venue for Something Great's arts center, serving both indoor and outdoor exhibitions in the fields of contemporary performing arts and visual arts. It will also provide additional studios that can be used for residencies in addition to our current ones.
